Hi allI recently signed up as self employed with HMRC. But I can't sign in or do my tax returns as my identity cannot be confirmed.

I set up my Government Gateway account years ago. And use the app nowadays. Every so often you need to enter a 5 digit number to access your account.

A few weeks ago, I was able to login to my HMRC account online and few my PAYE wages. I could view each week's wages along with how much tax I'd been charged.

Does HMRC still send out paper tax returns? Maybe you could ask them for one. The deadlines are stricter for paper returns than for online ones. If you want to use HMRC's online bits you are going to need to buy a mobile and tell HMRC what the number is. It doesn't need to be a smart phone or have internet access it just needs to accept texts,

Contacted hmrc, yet more to and fro, told my account was locked, but assured the employer would be removed, but no timesale. Role on to a month ago, still cannot access my account as still locked.

When I try to make it automatically pop-up with the HMRC login connection on a browser, to add my agent logins back, by clicking 'Retrieve HMRC Data' in Personal Tax it throws up 'Data Retrieval Error' and 'The invocation of the constructor on type 'CefSharp.Wpf.ChromiumWebBrowser'...

Hi everyone, I am having a problem with access to my GOV.UK One Login account and wondered whether anyone else has experienced something similar.

In one sense it does look very like an HMRC official email offering support on various areas (far more convincingly 'genuine' than most 'HMRC' scams). On the other hand if you hover over the offered links it shows really weird website addresses to which you would be directed if you were to click on it (usually a big giveaway that it is a scam).

HMRC agent Logins have they changed? HMRC Login to access agent services now has full ID verification required. Tried logging into my agents account at HMRC in the normal way. No luck.

HMRC login - when you have multiple gateway no;s whenever I go to login with a new gateway code and password (when not acting as agent) I can't
